Spiral Vibration Dampers
AERIALGRIP® Spiral Vibration Dampers have been developed specifically to reduce vibration on OPGW and ADSS cables, the latter tend to vibrate at higher levels, mainly due to their lighter weight. They provide a gentle grip on the cable while reducing aeolian vibration by opposing the natural vibration wave, avoiding cable stress and protecting the cable hardware.

Spiral Vibration Dampers
AERIALGRIP® Spiral Vibration Dampers have been developed specifically to reduce vibration on OPGW and ADSS cables, the latter tend to vibrate at higher levels, mainly due to their lighter weight. They provide a gentle grip on the cable while reducing aeolian vibration by opposing the natural vibration wave, avoiding cable stress and protecting the cable hardware.
AERIALGRIP® Spiral Vibration Dampers are manufactured from fully dielectric PVC, guaranteeing properties such as corrosion and compression resistance. The protection degree will depend on the cable configuration, outer jacket material, tension and wind flow. Consult your distributor for specific recommendations as well as the number of dampers required per span length.
